Mixed Media in therapy: helping children process their lives

My mom and I are working on a little storybook together.

Thinking like a therapist, one goal of the story is to express feeling deeply connected through grief.

Here are some sketches and a piece from the middle of the story. I’ll post more as it unfolds.

  1. Going from “re-blog” to “re-blog” the words – “connected through grief,” caught my eye. I understand this…and right away, I saw your collaborative works – they certainly speak through the eyes!! You’ve captured that feeling!!

These made me think about expressions through art, how important this really is – to feeling, being in touch and how late in life I’ve come to know this so much better…with some surprising things along the way and still, a bit of a way to go.

I’m really looking forward to more on your storybook!
